๐Ÿก Discover the Earth ๐Ÿก

๐Ÿก An informative interactive book ๐Ÿก

๐ŸŒฟ Review and photos by Mother Seham Ebied, and I have some comments that I will write after the review ๐Ÿ˜Š

Discover the Earth... a quick journey filled with essential information and interesting facts about planet Earth, the different environments on its surface, and the animals that live in those environments.

An informative cardboard book with windows and flaps for the child to interact with the information and for the questions posed to stimulate their spirit of discovery.

ย

๐Ÿ The book includes the following topics:

- Earth and the Solar System ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿช๐ŸŒ

In this section, we learn about the planets and their names, and about Earth specifically, its movement, its distance from the sun, its shape, and its most distinguishing features.

- The Sea ๐ŸŒŠ

Here we descend into the depths of seas and oceans to discover the most important marine creatures, and learn about the "Gulf Stream," "bioluminescence," the "anglerfish," and other marine organisms.

- The Poles โ„

We learn about the North and South Poles and the most important creatures that live there, the difference between the North and South Poles, polar bears, walruses, penguins, and more.

- Tropical Rainforests ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒด

We learn about the biodiversity in these forests, the nature of life there, their locations, and the most important creatures that live in them, such as sloths, jaguars, Amazon river dolphins, and others.

- Mountains ๐Ÿ—ป๐Ÿ—ป

We learn about the most prominent animals that make mountains their home, such as mountain ibex, eagles, chamois, and ermines.

- The Desert ๐Ÿœ

The discussion here is divided into North American deserts and African deserts.

Each desert is distinguished by different characteristics from the other, whether in terms of the plants that grow there or the animals that inhabit it.

- The Savanna ๐ŸŒฟ

This refers to the African savanna. Here we learn about the nature of the environment there, the shape of the land, the climate, the animals that inhabit it, and some of their way of life.

- Inside the Earth ๐ŸŒ‹

In this section, we learn about the layers of the Earth and the things found inside the Earth.

๐Ÿ›‘ About the book:

- The book uses some unusual vocabulary and beautiful literary terms, but they are not of a type that makes it difficult to understand the text.

- However, there are very strange words that I have never heard before, and I could not find their meaning even after searching the internet, such as the word (Agoutis) mentioned among the prey that jaguars feed on!

- Some incorrect information (and it seems to have occurred inadvertently during translation or writing)... where it was mentioned in the heading (The Poles) that penguins inhabit the North Pole!

And about the moon, it is written (The moon is the only natural artificial satellite of the Earth) >> artificial and natural together... it seems to be a literal translation of the original text.

- The original text uses American units of measurement (mile/inch/Fahrenheit... etc.), and in the Arabic text, International System of Units (kilometer/cm... etc.) were used in parentheses in most places, but in some places, the American measurements remained as they were, which requires us to search for them in the international measurements known to us.

=====================

The book is large (page 30 cm ร— 20 cm approximately)

It has many flaps (more than 60 flaps) that the child turns to learn more information or to find the answer to a posed question.

The illustrations are beautiful, clear, and brightly colored, suitable for each environment mentioned.

Number of pages: 19 pages

The entire text is vocalized.

The book is translated into Arabic from the original English version published by the Italian publishing house:

White Star Publishers

And the Arabic version was published by (Dar Maktabat Al-Maarif Publishers)

๐ŸŒฟ Comments on the review

1-The animal Agouti is meant by the translation.. and the animal, according to my knowledge, has the same name in Arabic (Agouti) and it resembles a wild boar.

2- Penguins live in the South Pole ๐Ÿคญ please correct.

3- Please remove the word "artificial" in the definition of the moon.

4- As for the units ๐Ÿ˜ I feel like one could have a session or sessions to introduce the units and their differences between countries and conversion between them ๐Ÿ˜

ย

๐ŸŒฟ Note

The amount of information is large compared to other interactive books, and the pictures are really beautiful, and organizing the topics in this way makes understanding easier.
