🍡 A book to think smartly 🍡
🌿 Publisher's review:
We all want to be smarter, more understanding, more knowledgeable, and we think that the way to achieve this is by memorizing as much information as possible, but this is not true!
Being smarter means that your way of dealing with information is better and more effective. Being smarter means that your mind works better.
How can you achieve this?
This is the field of thinking skills, and one of the most important of them is critical thinking, which is a difficult and complex field that many people avoid studying due to its difficulty.
The author Salwa Shallah simplifies its concepts in a wonderful way, making this book your first step in critical thinking.
To do this, she relies on interesting dialogues featuring two pivotal characters:
Mishaks, the reckless and impulsive child, and Rajeh, the smart and balanced child...
🌿 My opinion:
I read the book about two years ago... and by God, it was only now that I was able to get my hands on it.
This is one of the most wonderful books any young person can read... especially when living abroad... How do we evaluate information? How do we not get carried away by the current? How do we not get deceived by social media? How do we not follow fake icons? How do we not get taken in by appearances? How is what is truly right truly right, and what is truly wrong truly wrong, even if everyone does it?
Everything is explained through common fallacies with many examples.
Tremendous and huge ideas, all of them and more, are presented in this book... a book written in the simplest possible style, far from difficult words, philosophy, and idealism.
The book is very, very important for building a young man and woman who are not of this generation... for building a conscious young man and woman who are not taken in or ""adolescents"".
Whatever I say about it is little...
And it requires extended family sessions from parents...
I highly, highly, highly recommend it.
