🍒 My children love their grandmother's food, and they look forward to our return to Egypt every time to taste her food with its unique flavor. I wonder why grandmothers' food is always different and has a special taste?!

🍒 The story "My Grandma's Food is Different" tells us the secret behind it... The secret is that it's cooked with a lot of love and with a lot of ذكر الله (remembrance of Allah) during its preparation; that's why its taste is always special and nothing compares to it.

🍒 Our little friend, the heroine of the story – like most of our children – hardly tastes any food at her mother's house, but when she visits her grandmother's house, her appetite opens up and she eagerly devours all kinds of food, to her mother's astonishment and surprise.

🍒 One day, our little friend decides to tell her mother the secret that makes her devour all of her grandmother's food, and she takes us on a short journey inside her grandmother's kitchen to tell us the secrets, among which is that her grandmother often mentions Allah, sends blessings upon the Prophet, and praises and glorifies Him while preparing food, and other beautiful secrets that make us pay attention to applying them with our children.

🍒 A simple and delicate story; from which we extract many noble meanings, and in which we learn with our little ones the hidden secrets of cooking, beyond the known ingredients and tools.

🍒 Story illustrations:

The illustrations alone are a story... We loved them so much; especially since the artist (Basma Hussam) used our favorite art form, which is (collage)... So the story came out in the finest form and most beautiful design.

We were inspired by some of the paintings from the story (the house balcony with plant pots)... and my little ones created their own special paintings...

Collage art uses paper scraps and any leftover paper and other materials to create beautiful paintings with the addition of some simple touches with a pen to complete the painting.

🍒 About the story:

🍒 We learn from the story the importance of remembering Allah Almighty in all our states, and we learn the meanings of some supplications and remembrances such as (Subhan Allah), (Alhamdulillah), (Bismillah), and (sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him).

🍒 There are answers at the end of the story and definitions supported by Quranic verses and Prophetic hadiths.

🍒 We did more activities around the story to reinforce these meanings:
- In addition to knowing the meaning of (Alhamdulillah) mentioned in the story, we learned about the occasions when we praise Allah Almighty.
- In addition to knowing the meaning of (Allah's blessings upon the Prophet), we learned about more than 40 virtues of sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him.
- We also learned the meaning of (Subhan Allah) and its virtue.
- And we learned about 3 of the beautiful names of Allah: the majestic word (Allah), and the names of Allah (Ar-Rahman) and (Ar-Rahim)
