🍡 Series of Values in Islam 🍡
🍡 Ages 8+ 🍡
🌿 Publisher's Review:
This series introduces young readers to a number of behaviors that a Muslim should adopt to ensure their faith in Almighty Allah is sound, so they become among those who enjoin good and forbid evil. These behaviors include: respecting parents and honoring them, good manners, kindness to animals, cleanliness, and respecting women and protecting their rights.
This series contains five books:
🍡 Rights of Parents and Children:
An incident in the home of "Umm Saeed"'s friend opens the door for children to learn about the rights of children and parents in Islam. Children have rights that they must receive, such as good upbringing, education, play, and so on... But they must also fulfill their parents' rights, such as piety, respect, and obedience.
🍡 Cleanliness in Islam:
The grandmother tells her grandchildren noble prophetic hadiths that encourage Muslims to take care of their personal hygiene, such as brushing their teeth, trimming their nails, cleaning their ears and nose, in addition to bathing. These noble hadiths also emphasize the necessity for Muslims to take care of the cleanliness of their homes and surroundings.
🍡 Kindness to Animals:
Many prophetic traditions and hadiths recommend kindness to pets, not torturing them, and the necessity of feeding and caring for them, especially those that help humans in some tasks. This story also touches upon the issue of purity and impurity and their relationship with some pets.
🍡 Ethics in Islam:
Good and kind morals are a characteristic of a Muslim, as they follow the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him). This story provides many examples of behaviors that demonstrate good morals and those that indicate poor upbringing and distance from Islam and its traditions.
🍡 The Family in Islam:
This story focuses on the relationship between the two pillars of the family, man and woman, and highlights the status of women in Islam, the obligation to educate and respect them, and affirms their freedom to choose their life partner and protect them from violence. It also emphasizes their fundamental role in building the family, and this story does not neglect the role and responsibility of men in building the family.
🌿 My Opinion:
The series is very rich in information... What I liked most about it was the spirit of pride ♥️, as each story talks about Islamic legislations that preceded all man-made laws...
In addition, it refuted a number of misconceptions about Islam regarding women, marriage, and the degree to which God favored men... Personally, I think it is especially important for expatriates so that children have a good knowledge base to confront misconceptions...
I noticed that each story has a different illustrator, and the author is the same, so I liked the drawings of some stories more than others.
