A warm story overflowing with love and tenderness 😍 It was shortlisted for the Etisalat Award for Arabic Children's Literature in the Early Childhood category for 2022.

While reading the story, a question came to my mind: "Is it aimed at early childhood? For children? Or for us as mothers?"... When I say to my little one: "Don't let go of my hand," is it because he needs me, or because I (I) need him?

🌿 Little ones love to explore... they are curious and outgoing... If they see something that catches their attention... they might forget everything and run after that thing.

My little one has gotten lost almost everywhere before... And all of us have certainly experienced more than one situation where our little ones got lost from us for a few minutes, which felt like hours... We warn them a lot, but they don't listen when it's serious!

🌿 With tender and gentle words, the mother in the book speaks to her little one who loves to wander and explore... She doesn't stop him, but always reminds him to hold her hand.

He can play, jump, go down stairs, shop, contemplate, swim, dive, and skate, but without letting go of his mother's hand.

She tells him that he will surely grow up and let go of her hand and make his way in life, but their hands will always remain connected despite the distance.

The artist excelled in illustrating the story using collage art, making it appear in its most beautiful form.

🌿 We love this type of art much more than regular drawings. So, we were inspired to create a piece of art using collage art with some touches of our own.

Fish in the sea, and each fish says to its little one: "Don't let go of my tail!"

🍒 And the little ones composed a story about the painting: "My dear little one... When we migrate together and travel across the oceans... Play and enjoy, but remember: Don't let go of my tail!"

🌿 We gathered around the story several times and in different places... We remembered memories and discussed the mentioned situations... I asked them: Do you know what the phrase "Don't let go of my hand" means beyond its literal meaning?

And during the discussion about the deeper meaning of the word, we touched upon the phrase: "We will strengthen you with your brother," and that it has a meaning other than the literal, close meaning.

🌿 I particularly loved the story, and every time I reached its end, my eyes teared up... You will surely grow up, my little ones... But I will not let go of your hands, and I hope you won't let go of mine either!
